Harriet Hemerling Bankruptcy Attorney | Reputation Management A Must

Just like Harriet Hemerling Bankruptcy Attorney , if you do not manage your reputation, somebody else will, and it may not be your friends!Harriet Hemmerling Bankruptsy Attorney Blog

It can be as simple as keeping a personal blog and a few accounts (digg.com, twitter.,com, facebook.com) to make sure that you control the rankings for your proper name.  Of course, the same techniques can also help your rankings on competitive searches for what you do where you do it.

No matter what business you are in, but especially of you deal with people who are under stress and dealing with problems, sooner or later you will bump into somebody who is not happy, and, if you are not pro-active about your proper name and your business reputation, what your enemies have to say is what people will see when they Google you.

Usually we get a client for this sort of thing after they already have a problem – it would be so much less stressful for them if they would take preventative measures to avoid the problem in the first place – which is really easy for us to do compared to the more competitive real estate searches that our clients covet.

An ounce of prevention…

The Rothman Selling System | Free Guerilla Marketing

I have considered doing this many times over the years: I am going to publish the latest version of my The bully sales pulpetselling system, which we used to sell over $10,000,000 in services that we invented to businesses over the last 10 years.

I should tell you that I have had almost every main-stream selling course there is on my thirty three years as a professional salesperson: first at European Health Spa (the Dale Carnegie Course);then Office Machines (fortune 500 training including the Lee Duboise course); then the automobile business (Grant Cardone, Tommy Hopkins…)

I credit all of these and many other great sales trainers for starting me off and many little tidbits have been updated in this guide to reflect a changing market. No matter what industry you are involved in, successful business requires sales: I will omit some of the stuff that is specific to my business, and I will continually improve and add to this so bookmark it:

Introduction:

Now that more and more business is conducted online, there is a gap between supply and demand that can only be filled with knowledge of how and why people make decisions to buy, or not to buy as the case may be.

1. Rule number one: pick a battle you can win.

When people ask us: are you web designers, web developers, SEO experts?
We answer “no: that is a small part of what we do.”

These are all things that fall under the umbrella of what we do (Internet advertising), but each only plays a small part of a larger enterprise: making money online.

The first rule of any marketing campaign is to know the market and your target customer: in our case, it is a messed up marketplace: with everybody and his brother claiming to be able to design websites and/or create placement and hits; yet most of them fall into the category of the “blind leading the blind:” definition:
People who do not really know what they are talking about selling to people who do not really understand what they are buying, with no standards of pricing or performance.

For that reason, we take great care not to fit into any box that allows people to mistakenly categorize us: nobody who needs a consultant is willing to pay for one: so we sell the result of what we do, then do what we must to bring about that result; adding value along the way after the sale. You are in control if you know how

Since anybody else who can assure results with any consistency is exorbitantly expensive because of these very same problems with the market, we are positioned perfectly to offer a wanted and needed service to a starving market, packaged and delivered in a readily accepted bundling: which is the secret to repeated success in marketing our services in a competitive marketplace: we are market driven.

The same methods can be applied to any business (and they are all online these days!):

  • Know the market
  • Address the problems of the market (your intended customers) with the way you position yourself in that market (address the ‘pain’ of the customers, and provide a solution)

2. It is no longer who you know: it is what you know that matters: blogging:

It is like the difference between being a newspaper reporter, and owning the newspaper: if you have a free blog at blogger.com, wordpress.com, Google, Yahoo, Windows Live or anywhere else: the content will not help you get on top of the search engines (they actually insert specific tags to make sure of this!). If, however, you have your own, properly optimized blog originating at your site, you will rank for your chosen search terms – even thousands or millions of combination choices of key words!

In short, having a blog (on somebody else’s system) will not get you to the top of Google (The Media); but being a blog (from your own social media hub) will!

10 Free Guerrilla Tactics To Promote Your Website

Web20 Marketing on Steroids for Realtors GroupIt never ceases to amaze me: that more people do not avail themselves of the following:

  1. Submit to Google local, and Yahoo and MSN local business centers: it is still free, and it is still the most underutilized, free advertising out there: if you are too lazy go to UBL.org and pay $30
  2. Post partial posts on other blogs and groups – so simple: you write a great post like this one, post partial posts all over other blogs, Yahoo groups, Linked-in groups etc….
  3. Start and manage a group that is on-topic – I do ot know why more people don’t go to the trouble: but they don’t: for instance my group I founded at Active Rain: http://activerain.com/groups/WEB20 – it has 810 subscribers and growing and only 415 posts, I would put to you that it is what I delete, that makes it successful, and not what I add, but it is still an available targeted marketplace for me.
  4. Participate on other blogs and in other groups – you do not need to start a group to access it’s members, just join one.  I have found groups at linked-in and yahoo groups with 3-4000 ready prospects for me that read everything posted – heck I can join any group on meetup.com and have access to all the group members immediately by email.  From local politics to singles and all points between, there are groups that target your market.
  5. Join the local chamber of commerce, go to all the events – the oldest, and still most underutilized business resources: the local chambers of commerce and local visitors advocacy groups – every city and state and even some counties have government backed groups and agency designed to create jobs, promote touristy, and otherwise benefit your local economy.  By getting involved you get exposed to the members, and potential members.
  6. Warm calls – anyone who hangs out a card or brochure or group profile anywhere is fair game: I call them warm calls because they are advertising their business and must answer the phone: if you are looking at their yellow page ad or PPC ad or any type of advertisement the person paying or arranging for that advertising wants to know how and why you came to see the add: “warm”.
  7. Follow up – nothing new, here, but just as underdone as the others: WAKE UP! THE HOTTEST PROSPECT YOU HAVE IS THE GUY WHO YOU HAVE ALREADY TALKED TO – FOLLOW HIM OR HER FOREVER UNTIL THEY BUY, DIE, OR ASK YOU TO STOP! If you do not mail-merge your prospects, clients, and contacts you are missing 50% of the business you could be doing.
  8. Write about yourself – I cannot tell you how many times I have heard of someone being very perturbed at the constant self-promotion of a competitor – well, if you cannot beat them…join in: write about yourself!  Well placed articles properly formatted can completely control what happens when someone ‘Googles’ your proper name or company name – control your online reputation
  9. Solicit reviews and ratings – from yelp.com to digg.com and all points between, this new world of user-generated, user filtered content is not going away, and it will become even more widespread – YOUR ENEMIES WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO SLANDER YOU, BY ALL MEANS INVITE YOUR FRIENDS TO DO THE OPPOSITE!  – You can write your own reviews on Yelp.com, for instance..
  10. Invest your time rather than your money – expensive advertising can work, but, if you supplement that which you must pay for with that that is free, you will leverage your reach – start a personal blog and make yourself famous one post at a time!

I make my entire living online: I work from home, work in cyberspace, and my company is low overhead giving us a competitive edge.  I am sharing the wealth here, please, join me, and join in!

The Value Of Social Media For Market Testing – This Is A Test…

idealogolittlegreenmenIt does not take a rocket scientist to understand the value, for instance, of Twitter for instant feedback on a product, service, or copy.

But most people do not realize the value of a group like this one for market testing: case in point: we are about to launch a replacement for e-Lance and Rent-a-Coder for the buying and selling of digital media products and services of all kinds including websites, video, and marketing – all free, with nothing standing in the way of the transactions (sort of like a free dating site for business, with the best features of Linked-in, Facebook, Meetup.com.)

What Better place to get some feedback about the initial copy and branding: your opinion please:

Welcome to Ideapals: Bringing passionate people together to collaborate, innovate, and make money doing what they love:

We have created the ‘currency’ of “NODS”: work your passion here and get paid! Everything you do around here earns NODs (Natural Overtures Of Distinction) and we have placed a value on the currency of NODs: Whenever you have an idea, an opinion, a comment, a friend, or what we call a ‘spark’, and you share it: you get paid in NODs!

Innovation and acknowledgment are the bricks and motor, the raw materials with which an idea, a group, or a community are formed.
