I feel like Lewis and Clark coming across the great plains saying:
“Wow! Look at all that nu-plowed ground!”
Google’s maps are almost completely empty! They opened up the API months ago to get us to feed them, and almost no apps have been written, no revenue models created; no good local groups formed to feed Google from the grass roots! Everybody from Realtor.com to the most obscure, ridiculous newcomer has attempted to create a network of local city and community blogs: this is why they do not work:
- They are not good for the advertiser
- They are not exclusive – simply modern versions of an outdated model that will put you an a page populated by every competitor – not good!
- They rank their pages instead of the client page
- They start with an empty database, and nobody wants to go first
- They are overcapitalized, over-priced, too expensive – again outdated
- They lack ‘boots on the ground’ IE: no local connection to real local people
- Nobody wants to train and build a real sales force with local people selling good advertising to local people
- Their pricing structure is outdated, the internet is less expensive
- They are too short sighted – want instant rewards without years of hard work – IE no fundamentalist value to the business.
- They do not promise results
- Their salespeople do not even understand what they are selling, much less the client – or nobody would buy it.
This is how we will sell $1,000,000 at UpLog.org this year right in front of you (like always, we call it ahead of time, then prove it):
- We are exclusive to our clients – not trying to sell everything to everybody – one advertiser per local niche
- We love what we do – the goal is not quick riches; instead to do good work, and serve God.
- We are willing to do the hard work of building and fully training a local sales force with ‘boots on the ground” one salesperson at a time
- Our pricing is ridiculously fair and reasonable – no room for a competitor with higher overhead to come behind us and profit
- We are unique – from our independent team approach, to our fair systems of incentives and rewards – all real
- We do not believe is cheating, tricks, gimmicks, get-rich-quick, or multilevel bubbles
- Our approach is miles ahead of the pack, and we will stay there the same way we got there, with vision.
