The SocialMediaSystems team has been actively debating who should be on our blogroll. As we actively bounce back and forth about qualifications, I realized one of the best ways to get some serious information regarding good community members is to fall back into my recruiting 101 mode and just ask.

I don’t like blind links or “just linking for the sake of linking”. I want to have blogroll members who add to our readers, share thoughts and insights, who can debate topics until wee hour of the morning, people who have experience in helping clients prosper, who believe in doing things “the right way”, that understand our industry needs to challenge ourselves to a higher code of ethics, and who are friendly enough that I can sip a cup of coffee with them while we babble about how strange our industry is.
Do you have a unique insight to business or marketing?
I watch our mybloglog viewer on a daily basis and see hundreds of qualified and very smart people browsing our articles and adding to our conversation. This is a chance to officially join our table, sit down and talk about the topics that matter to all of us, and an opportunity to introduce yourself (if you haven’t done so already!)
Do you have a fresh perspective on where this “stuff” is going?
I know there are some AMAZING personalities out there that differ from our staff. We often run across them at conferences and trade shows, through countless hours of blogging and conversation, and by touching like-minded clients.
Can you keep up with the evolution of all the incredible changes the internet holds?
If you can… you are WAY ahead of me. The online marketplace is evolving (or mutating) faster and faster every day. Our team keeps abreast of 99.9% of the changes, but considering there are millions of businesses and millions of online personalities, perhaps you are one of the ones we’ve missed (or know of a few you would like to share.)
If you can say yes to any of the questions above, buzz me.
Drop me a line. E-mail barry@socialmediasystems.com, add a comment, call me.
